Chu shijia, deputy director and secretary-general of China Import and Export Fair, visited various trading delegations and the reception station for intellectual property and trade dispute-related complaints, on Oct 18 at the 130th Canton Fair, running from Oct 15-19.
The 130th Canton Fair is a special session with landmark significance, Chu said. “With only one day to go before the closing ceremony, we need to work together to ensure the success of the fair.”
The organizers should not only enhance epidemic prevention and control, but also provide more opportunities for exhibitors and buyers to establish connections and make deals, Chu added.
At the reception station for IP and trade dispute complaints, Chu, who also serves as the director of China Foreign Trade Centre, said that governments at all levels have been concerned about IP protection at the fair.
Looking ahead, Canton Fair will deal with the problems reported by exhibitors in time and forge the fair into a benchmark event nationwide in terms of IP protection, according to Chu.
